Az trip ideas
Trip Ideas.
Grand Canyon
- Time from Phoenix: 4 hours
- Fee: Free
Joshua Tree National Forest
Would like to go here but not sure where to go and what to do.
Northern AZ / Southern Utah
This place is beautiful, tons of places to check out:
- Bryce Canyon
- Valley of the Gods
- Zion National Park
- Kanab
- Belly of the Dragon
- Diana's Thrown Slot Canyon
- Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch
Here is a Central campsite however I'd prefer to find a campsite near each place and just make a bigger trip out of it.
Sequoia National Forest, CA
Home of the big trees. I believe there is a fee to get into the Sequoia National Park.
Campsite options (might need more research)
- Needles Point would be close to the big Redwood trees, but need 4x4.
- Dorst Creek Campground Good, campsite that is paid.
- Princess Campground Back to the above one, no cell reception.
These campsites are free, but that are closer to kings canyon national park, which is north of Sequoia, aka might not be the best trees. Still some tree, just not the biggest in that area.
- Tenmile
- Western Big Meadow Road
- Cherry Gap, has some cell reception.
