2024 August Camping

Camping trip west of Denver with a bunch of friends. ~ 7 days.

For each night there are multiple options for camping, think of them as backups. Sometimes a spot is taken by others, is closed by the FS, or is just not what you want.

Itenerary

  • Sa 8/10 - Leave towards Arches NP.
  • Su 8/11 - Explore Arches NP.
  • Mo 8/12 - Travel day to CO - Sleep @ Car camping spot #1
  • Tu 8/13 - Guys start hiking trail - Sleep @ Car camping spot #2
  • We 8/14 - Sleep @ Car Camping spot #3
  • Th 8/15 - Sleep @ Car Camping spot #4
  • Fr 8/16 - Sleep @ Resupply #2
  • Sa 8/17 - Travel day to UT.
  • Su 8/18 - Travel day to ID.

    • 5.5 miles, 2,400 ft elevation gain.

Option 4: Mirror Lake Campground - Would have to drive west from camp spot #4.

    • Goes through res, stays off I-70.
    • Camping near Strawberry Reservoir is halfway, trees, looks nice.
